Prime Minister Balen Shah has recommended Pun for appointment as Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation.
According to sources, Pun is expected to take the oath of office later today.
Pun previously served as Education Minister in the government led by Sushila Karki. He later resigned from that position and contested the election as an independent candidate, winning a seat in Parliament from Myagdi.
