International, May 5 India has nominated Parameswaran Iyer as an interim director to the board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Parameswaran will represent India at the IMF meeting scheduled for May 9.

The Indian government dismissed Krishnamurthy Subramanian from the position of IMF board director two days ago.

Parameswaran is currently serving as the Executive Director representing India at the World Bank.
