Shanghai – The 11th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF) kicked off on Wednesday in Shanghai, under the theme “Open Innovation for New Quality Productive Forces and Sustainable Development.” This year’s event has reached new heights in scale, diversity, and international engagement.
Spanning a record-breaking 35,000 square meters, the fair features a dynamic layout that includes a themed pavilion, a regional pavilion, four specialized technology zones, and two functional areas. Close to 1,000 companies from nearly 20 countries and regions, along with exhibitors from 20 provincial-level regions across China, are presenting their latest technological advancements.
This year, Glasgow, United Kingdom, has been named the overseas Guest City of Honor, while Shenzhen holds the title for the domestic Guest City of Honor, highlighting a strengthened international and regional collaboration in innovation.
The fair places a spotlight on emerging industries and fields of tech trade, including artificial intelligence. Four major zones are dedicated to cutting-edge sectors: commercial cryptography and digital manufacturing, green energy and logistics, intelligent marine engineering and equipment, and consumer and commercial technology.
Adding to the event’s momentum, nearly 60 specialized forums and side events will take place, setting a new record for the number of parallel activities in the history of the fair. These forums will provide a platform for in-depth exchange on the latest trends and developments in global tech trade.
